Who it is for

Lawn and landscaping clients usually get one invoice a month for regular care, plus extras for the season: a spring clean-up, leaf removal, planting or mulch. The invoice needs to separate the routine from the one-off so nobody is surprised.

This template uses Folio’s home services layout: one compact column, work counted in visits at a rate, and the property address printed beside the client, which matters when a homeowner or a management company has several properties.

It works for lawn care, landscape maintenance, garden design and installation, tree and hedge work, and snow removal in winter.

What to include

One-off jobs
Seasonal work as separate lines: hedge trimming, aeration, leaf removal, storm clean-up.
Materials
Mulch, soil, stone or plants with the unit you sell them in: “Bark mulch, cubic yards”, 3 at $48.
Disposal
Green-waste hauling or dump fees, as their own line if you charge for them.
Next visit and access
The next scheduled visit and any gate code or access note, in the notes. Leave codes out if the invoice might be forwarded.

Questions

How do landscapers invoice monthly lawn care?

One invoice per property per month, with the regular service counted in visits and anything extra on its own line. In Folio, duplicating last month’s invoice copies the client and items and moves the date and number on.

Should I charge for materials separately?

Yes, for anything substantial. Showing mulch or plants by the unit lets the client see that the price follows the quantity, and in many states materials are taxed differently from labor.

What if a visit is skipped for weather?

Bill the visits that happened. If your agreement is a flat monthly fee regardless, say so in the notes so the client isn’t left counting.

Can I use this for snow removal in winter?

Yes. Change the service to “Snow plowing — driveway and walk” and count the visits or pushes in the period.
